I have seen others in the forum say that they have this card and it works with 10.4.5 with no problems and no editing of files. However, on my machine I can't seem to have this luck. When I first install off of the DVD it goes to the first time use setup. In there it finds my wireless card, will locate my wireless access point, and will even connect after I type in the WEP key. Once I get through the setup and the computer is actually up and running, I have problems. There is an Airport icon at the top of the screen, but it is empty. If I click on it, it says "Airport: Not Configured". If I go to the Network setting in the System Preferences app, it shows up empty. Does not even have my wired card. (nForce4, know this doesnt work) Could it be that the nForce4 chip controls the PCI bus and is what is causing the wireless card to not function correctly? I looked through the IO80211Family.kext and found that it was using the Atheros*something*.kext (not around my machine... at work angel.png ). My vendor id and device id are listed in that particular Info.plist file. I have searched and searched the forums, but cannot find anything that can explain what is happening. Does anyone have any ideas? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
