I already have an old hp case which I will be using.

Did I miss anything?
What do you guys think about this build?

EDIT 11/25: Added the links to the products I have selected. Ive decided on the OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W PSU which requires a rebate which I generally try to stay away from but it seems to have the best bang for buck ratio, and wont fry my cpu (thanks MacUser2525 for explaining rails). I have also added arctic silver 5 thermal compound to the parts list.

paying more than $20 for a better quality power supply seems like a smart idea when your running $400 worth of CPU & GPU.
wattage alone is a poor measure of performance, a cheap no-name 350-500 watt PSU could sometimes end up being capable of nowhere near its rated max. think slapping a "500" sticker on a 300watt grade PSU... the extra $20-30 bucks to get a quality PSU can be well worth it. plus, one at a higher price point likely will be more energy efficient & much quieter.

Like your build, should make a great machine! And yea you could get a better psu, i learned the hard way with this. But other than that you've definitely done your research. smile.gif

Can anyone recommend a good psu?

Almost anything from Antec, Enermax, OCZ, Seasonic, Thermaltake or Corsair among a few others whos names escape me now, look for something with Active PFC 500w + if dual/triple/quad rail at least 20 amps on each rail for single rail 35-40+ amps on it.

This build is similar to mine, but you got a way better deal. Can you send me links please? (I live in Canada, though). Still wondering if I should get a ds3l or a ud3r. I heard they're virtually identical, but I'm wondering if there is any hackintosh difference whatsoever.

Edits made to "Dream Machine". If anyone knows what bios version comes with the DS3L I have listed that could be a great help.

yes, the UD3R has onboard firewire, and the DS3L does not. otherwise limited difference from hackintosh perspective:)

I highly recommend a PC Power & Cooling PSU. They are some of the best. Speaking of "Dream Machines," Maximum PC magazine has recommended these power supplies for the last 9 years! smile.gif

Something like this should be enough for you: PCP&C 610w only $59 after rebate. Hope that helps.

Careful, the mobo you linked to is the EP43 not EP45 model.

The actual EP45 model should work great. The EP43, I have no idea.
