I'm currently looking for a mbp replacement.I've found many laptops almost fully working but none have the cardreader working.
I own a msi wind and have every aspect covered except headphones/mic working. The cardreader works fine.
Does anyone know of a laptop with the cardreader working and everything else.Sound is not important but firewire is a must.
I'm wondering if msi laptops like the gx700 might be fully compatible?I don't see any msi laptops on osx86 wiki page though.

List of specs

15" screen higest res possible
core2duo
4gb ram max
nvidia 8600gt or 9600gt (not truly necessary but preferable)
Everything working including card reader.
Sound is the only thing I wouldn't care about as I'm connecting a firewire audio interface.

Any suggestion are extremely appreciated!

It seems the the Gateway P-7811 might be the one.
Still waiting to see if the card reader is working but its working on many other models.

You can always just get a USB card reader. They're cheap.
