I've had nothing but issues with this since upgrading to 10.5.3. When transferring large amounts of data through the network, it dies with several of these messages in Console:

Nov 9 09:38:11 Hackintosh kernel[0]: AppleYukon: 00000010,00000272 skgesirq - AppleYukon: error - PCI express protocol violation error
Nov 9 09:38:11 Hackintosh kernel[0]: AppleYukon: 00000010,00000264 skgesirq - AppleYukon: error - unexpected IRQ Status error
Nov 9 09:38:11 Hackintosh kernel[0]: AppleYukon: 00000000,00000000 skgehw - cppSkDrvEvent - SK_DRV_ADAP_FAIL
Nov 9 10:03:40 Hackintosh kernel[0]: AppleYukon: 00000000,00000000 PwrSavingsEED - Failed to get ACPI device
Nov 9 10:03:40 Hackintosh kernel[0]: AppleYukon: 00000008,000002bd sktwsi - AppleYukon: error - TWSI: transfer does not complete

The only fix is to reboot. I've tried serveral different AppleYukon2 kext's, but the result is still the same. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I am running this Kernel:

Version 9.4.0: Fri Aug 1 21:34:49 EST 2008; ToH & StageXNU:xnu-1228.5.20/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 i386

My board is a Gigabyte GA-965p-DS3 vers. 3

Nobody has any clue how to fix this?

I had the same problem and I found out it was due to the old AppleYukon.kext. This kext solve my problem and my internet connection is stable now. Maybe you have to modify the AppleYukon2.kext because it's for 88E8055.

Good Luck.

Oh wow. This is so much better than the archaic AppleYukon.kext from 2006 that I've been using up until now, because I couldn't figure out how to modify AppleYukon2.kext correctly.
I was getting some of the same errors at boot as Soprano with the old AppleYukon.

Your kext works perfectly fine with 88E8056, no modifications needed, it's already in the plist.
Booting with -v there are no messages about it at all. It just works.
