hi to everyone im new to this so if this is an old question my apologies,
i installed leopard iatkos no problem....turned off my machine and it would not reboot i have to put cd in and reinstall, could anyone help please, also i am not a pro at computer programming so a simple explanation if one exists would be really appreciated thanks

It is a dual boot?
if so.. from windows using a software like acronis disk director.. set the partition with your osx86 installation as primary and active.
Anyway.. doing so.. you won't be able to boot into windows after.. and maybe not even the yatkos.. without having the installation dvd into dvd tray.

You need a boot loader.

If none of the above matches your situation.. then keep the dvd loaded.. and at boot.. don't press anything to install the os once again.
just let it finish the count down.. and tell us what it does after.
