I was following a guide here: http://board.ihackintosh.net/index.php?showtopic=751

However, after installing the update (I had to go for the combo as I'm on Kalyway 10.5.2), I closed the terminal and upon reopening refuses me access to sudo. I get "Sorry, try again" even though I am typing the correct password and set the password again with passwd.

My mac installation will be ruined upon reboot if I cannot perform the remaining steps. I wish I had left the sudo terminal that was running the while loop open >_<

Any advice?

you can reboot, but dont boot from harddisk. you can boot using the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD, go into Terminal (without installing) and do the change on the harddisk files and reboot smile.gif

Well no matter what I tried in the startup script, I couldn't repair the damage and had to reinstall Kalyway 10.5.2 over the top =( I want to use the latest version of Pro Tools damnit!

edit: Yay! I used the Combo update patches by Mysticus C and now I'm on 10.5.5 biggrin.gif
