Full Version: Why my power button doesn't put my PC to sleep?

Hey guys. Well, the question is in the title...

I had to renew my PC lately, because my motherboard exploded.... but that's another story... sad.gif

Anyway now, as you can see from my specs, I have a good motherboard and CPU. I have a retail installation with EFI 132 boot (just a few kexts to make it work perfectly well). For the sleep/restart I'm using OpenHaltRestart.kext.

It works PERFECT, but as I wrote in the title, if I want my computer to sleep, I have to use the apple menu. It doesn't go by just clicking the power button.

Of course from System Configuration I have checked the option that allows the power button to activate the sleep mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

i have the same issue as u

also using openhaltrestart.kext

the funny thing that the power button can bring back the system from sleep!
also when i notice that, i found out the system does not sleep automatically when idle!
