Hi all,,

I'm pretty new to OS X and love it. I have built 2 pc's running Leopard and both were running well. My problem... my father decided to initiate software update on his pc. He was running the iaktos version. By updating he has stuffed the pc, it will not boot anymore, entering -s or -x etc at the boot loader does nothing.

I am resigned to the fact that i'll probably have to re install. I want and need to know where his emails , contacts are stored etc so i can recover them before i format the drive.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, i'll be forever in your debt.

Thanks in advance

You have to search them in Users/<UserName> folder in root. All personalised files and folders (i.e. mails, desktop, pictures etc.) are there.
