I have a spartan laptop with a T7400 core 2 duo cpu
with pm965 chipset. i can get kalyway 10.5.2 to run fine but i have to boot with cpus=1 or when it boots it shows the grey apple screen and adthen reboots right away.
does anyone have any advice. the hard drive is set to AHCI and changing that has no effect.
it is a MSI-1719u laptop (spartan is the OEM that makes it, just uses msi laptops)
my bios is limited as far as options go.
i would like to use both cores on my laptop i think that should slow it down
I have used the speedstep kernel and the vanilla kernel

Any Advice?
Thanks
Christopher
also when i boot i had to use the ppf patch for kalyway to remove the SMC kext or i would get a kernel panic
then when install is done i have to boot with -s parameter and take out the kext after install or i get the same thing
I also have to use the SSE2 patch or i get the hang at the buffers thing
