Long time lurker here (currently running leopard on a 680i (god i hate that board)), wanting to build a small (hopefully mini-itx) htpc w/osx +plex/xbmc.

all i could find on on this board was hope and then dismay at apple dropping intel's integrated graphics. I would really like to use this with the 45nm "Pentium"(underclocked c2d) but without working graphics it kinda defeats the propose. [and a linux-xbmc is unfortunately not an option for this project].
i know a couple of the older atom boards are supported well but would those have the power for good 1080p playback/n64 (and below) emulation?

(and if this isnt going to be viable any mATX suggestions?)
[[also, has anyone gotten audio over hdmi to work in osx]]

That is a sweet board. 4 SATA Ports, PCI Express 1x, and 2 DIMM slots which support up to 4GB of RAM. Perfect Media center board. The biggest hang up I see is graphics support, hopefully Apple will come out with a Montevina notebook or something so that we can get support for this. However, I doubt this. They have gone with NVIDIA and will probably stay there for at least the next few revisions. Maybe with some luck a forum member will have figured it out, or apple will release a product that allow for support with this chipset.

Here is a thread on the graphics drivers.

Also here is a board I stumbled upon today that is mATX, and I have not seen anyone use it yet, but it has the current macbook chipset it looks like, the current macbook supports 1080 no problem:
