Has anyone had success running front row on a hacked mac, without usb or phone, i tried but it damaged some of my preferences, keyboard and sound.

I have tried many methods to get it the newer versions to work and all seem to fail. The best I can get is 1.01 (PPC) running. Have never been able to get the Intel binary to work. Tried the frontrow.kext method, the USB mouse method, and the FrontRow enabler method.

I have only tried the frontrow enabler, which didn't work, lucky it was a test install, as like most i lost my sound and keyboard prefs, i hoped a usb mouse would work as i am gonna buy a apple mouse and wireless keyboard next week.

I've got FrontRow working using pacifist to install the frontrow.pkg located on 10.4.5 install dvd.
I had no success installing the actual version from apple's website.

the method posted here: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=10470 works and does not patch any framework or anything that screwed up your pref panes (you can reinstall the bezel services from the install disc via pacifist).

if the 'kext' method by Kyrie1965 didn't work for you post your info.plist and deviceid/vendorid, i may be able to help.

Well once i get a apple keyboard and mouse i will, since at the moment i use ps2. Wanted to make sure os x worked before i got a apple keyboard and mouse..

Yeah, you just have to change the HID device in the kext to joystick.

I just changed product id and vender id, not device but works fine.
I did post to say it works but seems to have disappeared.
I like the movie trailers, fast but intermittent.
