Full Version: About This Mac Information vs. Actual System Info

Just wanted to know if About This Mac information is directly effects the system performance.

I'm running the HP dv3500t CTO:
2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo T9400
3 GB DDR2

About This Mac Shows:
1.6 Ghz Unknown
3 GB

So is my system running at 1.6 under OS X or my true specs?
