Hi,

im running leo4allv3 w/o the new patch to 10.5.3

im on a latitude d610 with an ac97 and it has been a bitch to try and get working.

currently i will get clear, quality sound, for about 2-5 minutes and then it begins to break up. it is almost like it cant buffer or something... just what it seems like to me though i dont know too much about sound cards/kexts etc.

basically im looking for a simple fix because i love os x but i cant live without my sound and video (oh btw... i have difficulties watching any sort of video. not that the video doesnt appear its just that the sound lags behind and begins to stutter as stated above)

so... any ideas?

I'm not sure if it is widely available, but the Creative Labs Soundblaster MP3+ USB sound card works without a fuss. Plug it in and it works. The chip is fixed at 48kHz, if that bugs you.
