Well its that time that i upgrade my computer now i am more then set with hard drive space optical drives and ram. I am just looking for recommendations on a new motherboard (preferably one with a pci express slot) a new video card (preferably one that would fit in that pci express slot) and a new processor (make sure its compatible with your Mobo selection)

As for priceing just keep it within reason i mean oviously im not going to spend 1k on a processor but here are just ball park estaments.

Motherboard less then 150
Processor less then 200
Video card less then 100

Pretty much any P35/45 Intel based board preferably with the realtech 8111 on-board nic.

Any core ? duo processor less than that amount or I have seen used q6600's going for around that price.

Geforce 7300 or I have seen the used 8800gt's going for close to that and make sure that the hard/optical drives are SATA plus as always the most important part of any system a quality name brand power supply around 500w+.

It seems to me you want to spend less than 450 bucks.
(Newegg Prices USD $)
GA-EP45-DS3R - 130
Intel E8500 - 180
EVGA 8600 - 50 (after rebates)

Total = $360

$90 under budget, which you can now get 4GB of ram with.

newegg has 4GB of DDR2 800 for $45 right now before shipping. That is as solid of a deal as it gets.

Just curious what is the likelihood that those parts will also be compatible with Snow leopard when its released
