its an iPod touch running VNC... I can do that on my iPhone.

...Mac version is only available in the most expensive version. A bit pricey for just file transfer. Is there anything else you can do with this?

No, you can use screen sharing but enable the VNC option.

Apparently, iPod Touch runs iPhone OS, which used to be called OS X (Apple marketing literature simply stated that the "iPhone runs OS X" - Wikipedia).

So, yes, you could install OS X on it. Or to put it more accurately, a version of OS X.

iPod is not iPhone.

Same architecture. Same OS.

For VNC it doesn't matter if it is an iPhone or ipod Touch.
