I have a sort of emergency situation. I need to plug a 3.5 SATA drive onto my laptop and I wonder if modding a one end of a regular sata cable would do. I can power the drive from an externel source...
Any thoughts?

I got one of these a while back, and it works like a charm. I don't know what's in it. My guess is just an ic board.
But yeah, it might work..........or it might fry
