Hi, Just wondering what Quartz GL is. Just wondering how I might be able to remove it just to see if that's what's been crashing Maya 2008.
Before updating to version 10.5.5, Maya was working well without QGL installed. Just Quartz Extreme.
Any help is appreciated. smile.gif

QuartzGL does some more on GPU than QuartzExterme.
QuartzGL didnt give any advantage with our GPU/PCIe Bus today. It will be interesting in the future with fastetr PCIe-Bus and faster GPU/VRAMs than today.
Enabling QuartzGL have negative to Screenspeed (Windowhandling, Scrolling) with our GPUs/PCIe today, so its not aktivated.
Combination of QE and and our GPUs today is faster than QGl. Maybe in 2 Years QGL will be the "normal" like QE today.

Thanks for the update mitch_de. I finally got Maya working and it wasn't a graphic card issue.
