I am slightly confused with my USB 2.0 problems: I have tried installing new IO kexts but each time the usb key mounts after the kext is installed but once I reboot back to square one can't mount the USB key drive.
I have tried Fat32 and Mac HFS+ formated keys to no avail ... I also tried the IOUSBFamily.kext from Apple but there again no go I just can't fugure this one out...
Can anyone give me some hints in which direction to go?

Extra info - if I boot with the key plugged in at boot it mounts...

Hi, new to the forum was having the same trouble with Kalyway 10.5.2, read your post, plugged in my usb drive restarted and voila drive mounted. This is a great work around for me being not so kext literate. I know this doesn't help you much but your info sure helped me, thank you
