I have tried to change the clock speed of the processor on my laptop and my ipod touch (Not very much, I am not stupid) using sysctl -w hw.cpufrequency=. However, it always comes back saying oid hw.cpufrequency read-only.

Can I overclock an ipod touch or hackbook 1.6 ghz core duo this way?
