Full Version: SB700 Kext, is there one?

Guys i'm frustrated to try to install Leopard on My PC, i've an SB700 Motherboard (sig pc desktop) do you know if there's a kext for SB700 Mobos? I'm always take Waiting for root device error... Please, HELP! sad.gif

i don't understand only a thing... if my IDE DVD reader works.. why HD dont do the samething?

I've been playing around with a few kexts. There was a guide on building a kext for the sb600.. I'm going to try that with the sb700 devids.

I'm not sure if you guys got it to install... but you can install osx with out the kext... I'm on it right now. use zeph's 10.5.1 then upgrade from there... i disabled sata, but im not sure if you need to... It's painfully slow tho.

i have sb700, mine is working great. but i havent fixed my dvd rom issue. it is not recognize after installatlion.


all else is working. hardware recognition and about my mac were all correct.

Uhh is it a pata dvd rom? that's weird that it can see it during that install, but not after.

Hi,

For those who have ATI IXP600/IXP700 (SB600/SB700), if your internal PATA devices don't show up after installation, you can try AppleATIATA.kext on this link to see if it works:

hey got it 780g to fully work ill be writing a guide tomorrow install is like 25 minutes not slow at all and dvd is working to
