Dell has a new netbook

perfect hacknetbook?

Not better than others on market already...

It has a nice fit and finish, but it would be painful to buy a Dell. Wish Apple would come out with a mini laptop already. Maybe Sept 9th wink.gif

The GMA950 graphics chips is so fantastically out of date. It seems that all of these new Atom sub-laptops are using it, so I assume it eats less energy than the GMA x3100. Even so, 'mouth watering' isn't exactly a phrase that springs to mind when I see GMA950.

Re the Dell, why combine silver and black, it looks so cheap. Anyone know the battery life on this one (using Linux)?

Everythings perfect except the SSD drive which makes it not a good hackbook choice

That was an odd choice on their part. Standard HD's probably eat too much power for the little guy to handle.

Netbooks are designed for simple web browsing and editing documents, not for 3D gaming and other intensive applications that would need anything beyond basic graphics. Why can't people understand that not every machine is designed for gaming?
