I just bought myself the asus M50VMX-A1 notebook.

anyone know of any compat issues with this notebook, or if it works at all?

i'm going to try and install on a 2nd partition...... update with progress!

did -x -v cpus=1

it detected the NIC! found it's address...it seemed to load sound drivers also?

it gets to "kernel version" at the end of the initial startup, and then hangs......

any suggestions??

the m50s reqiures modified bios...

not avail for the m50v.....?

You should have a look to the modded bios for the M50SV to know if it is the same bios as yours. I think it will be the same because it's the same plateform.
I know that my bios version is 207. The modded bios is really good. Anyway if you try to flash it if and it is not compatible your laptop will refuse to flash
