As some of you may know, the OS11 series of Apple's operating system will be named after bears instead of cats, so with that in mind I tried a background smile.gif

The tentative nicknames for OS 11 have also been leaked after Apple applied for their copyright. Whereas OS X naming was based on big cats (Tiger, Leopard, Jaguar, etc.), OS 11 releases will be named after bears. Here's the tentative list:

* OS 11.0, "Polar"
* OS 11.1, "Grizzly"
* OS 11.2, "Panda"
* OS 11.3, "Kodiak"
* OS 11.4, "Sloth"
* OS 11.5, "Sun"

I'm officially confused... where's this coming from?

Erm....it came from Photoshop huh.gif

If your speaking about the naming of the next series then it's from here.

Oh...dear....I, erm, just noticed the date of that post......um......ignore me, I think I just got royally conned.

Erm, look at the date of posting for that news post... then maybe you'll see why I don't quite buy it tongue.gif

Hope you didn't spend too much time on it wink.gif

Better to doublecheck what your arguing before post anything corrupted. And verifify your info source also, sometime they write anything to had "the scoop" but it's crap. And btw, I wasn't know this fact wink.gif

According to Apple sources, OS 11 will move away from the BSD/Mach kernel used in OS X, and adopt the Linux kernel instead, allowing users to make use of a far greater range of packages and hardware components.

hysterical.gif That was pure gold, and your first clue should have been the date, but the second clue was that they said that OS X Leopard 10.5 was going to be the last OS X, and with Snow Leopard coming out, obviously its not true wink.gif And "OS 11.4 Sloth"? hysterical.gif
