Hey guys,

I finally got an Iphone and I'm loving it. The only problem is people keep sending me text messages. On my old phone I was able to not open the entire text message.(just read beggining) Thus not wasting my 200 text limit. Anyway what im asking is how do get it to not display the text message then automatically open it as soon as you touch the SMS icon.

I have been texting through gmail and yahoo but everyone keeps sending me text messages and I dont want to go over my limit because from what I understand with At&t it cost to recieve a text and send it.

with AT&T, if you receive a text, it counts as a text received, even if you haven't read it yet...

Are you sure because on my old phone I know if I never opened the message I didn't have to worry about the 200 limit going down.

The phone will display the entire message on screen, locked or unlocked, right when you get it, so I think that counts as opening the message.

You guys get charged for open txt mesages? Man that sucks. Over here in Oz we dont have to worr about that lol. But that must really suck.

lol same here UK!!! they get charged for receiving phone calls as well ridicules!!!
