No start up chime, power light is on dimmly but does not strobe and only slighted of drive noise for a second or two.

Is there a trouble shooting guide on this site? I want to try whatever i can before taking it in.

I tried different outlets, switched power cords, unplugged everything but mouse. Will reseat ram, and check out clock battery.

Any suggestions?

Um...Logic board? Looks like your PSU is fine, since something happens when you turn it on, but no startup chime (or noise at all) generally means there's a serious hardware issue.
