I edited the Info.plist file for the driver and added the ID's in the appropriate section.

Please research "editing product and vendor ID's" and "Info.plist" files, you must verify your current ID's to need to add because not all cards have the same ID's.

You can dowload the drivers directly from the Realtek website.
[supposed to be for Tiger 10.4]

I already installed it, but haven't been able to make it work under iDeneb Leo 10.5.4.
My card is a RTL8185 54M and the ID is 818510ec, which seems to be the default in the info.plist, but I still don't know why its not working.

I even tried uninstalling other RTL kexts with no luck.

Any ideas ?

The driver from the Realtek Website is for a PPC platform. BuildSmart, if you are out there, could you please let me know where you got your driver? If it's the PPC version, how did you get it to work with your x86 system. Any help from you would be awesome, I have read some of your other posts and appreciate your bluntness with stupid people like me, so help a brother out.

You're going to have to look a little harder, there is an intel version of the RTL8185 driver and perhaps you should start by contacting Realtek about it, it's a slow process but it does pay off in the end.

I'm stupid & retarded too, but if you had the Intel compiled driver why not upload it to a website so others could use it? Would be incredibly awesome to be able to use this card on the hackintosh side of my Compaq laptop.

I guess you must be, complaining because I do not provide the driver for you to download wont get it for you any faster so if you want it I suggest you e-mail them and request it.

It is not my place to do all of your research and work, I provided the information needed to acquire the driver, when you receive it you will also receive a license that prevents you from distributing it, whether you adhere to that license or not is your concern not mine.

If you are not happy about the help being provided then maybe you need to look elsewhere, I don't owe you anything, any information I provide is provided out of kindness and as a courtesy to aid in your resolution of this wireless issue.
