That's the average size for cpu fans though now, there are some that are even bigger, and are dual fan solutions.
I have the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro for me e7200, and it keeps is pretty cooled considering it's fan size.

I just ordered a
Xigmatek HDT-S1283 to replace my
Scythe Andy Samurai Master cooler. The Scythe doesn't work so good in my new Lian Li case as the side panel is completely closed. My previous Gigabyte Aurora case had a meshed side panel that fed the "top down" Scythe cool air.

The Xigmatek looks like one of the best "sideways" tower cooler available right now given the Sunbeam doesn't seem to be available in Europe yet. And the price is pretty good too compared to other towers
