Please send me all the AppleIntel830*.kext files and the IOGraphicFamily.kext in the Extension folder from 10.4.1.
I will try to use them try for the 1280X800 on 855 graphic chip.

Hmm... i can Pacify it from the DVD may be... but are you sure you need them? It seems I have seen something on 855 without the need for those. Anyway, if you insist on needing them - you could at least give an address where to send them :)

To get pacifist go to http://www.charlessoft.com/ and download it :)
Just insert your dvd, press "Open Mac OS X Installation Packages" and extract the kexts you need.

dell700m goto the 10.4.1 HCL and then Dell Inspiron 700m, I have the same laptop. There I (aka DJ Code Red) have posted how to get 1280x800 in 10.4.1 ONLY by editing the kexts. I think i have the edited kexts lying around if u want em
