Straight cheddar really hits the spot sometimes, but to me it can be too strong so I also enjoy milder ones like White American.

Good! I don't know what brands you have in the UK but avoid the cheaper ones, Kraft White American is way to rubbery. White American is perfect for sandwiches, grilled cheese, burgers etc.

Feta
Pepper Jack
Swiss
Munster (sp?)
Sharp Cheddar (on grilled cheese)
Parmesan (only on pizza)
Mozzarella (only on pizza)
Ricotta (only on pizza)
Provelone (sp?) (only on my Subway sandwiches)
I can't stand American. I think it's one of the most disgusting thing I've eaten.
I've always wanted to try Brie, but I just never got around to it.

Brie is so amazing. My favourite thing at the moment is bacon and brie muffins - they are so amazing, but take me ages to make. Brie is such a hassle to prepare sometimes....

Yeah try to get it from another manufacturer than the cheaper ones. I have a cheese store close by that sells great cheese for lower than the supermarket stuff.

Red Leicester all the way. However, only Mature Cheddar or Parmesan can be used on Spaghetti Bolognese.

By the way, I've moved this to the Thunderdome, since I don't really think this falls under

Depends on how much cheese matters to you.
Sorry for posting in the wrong forum. I didn't know where to post it so I just put it in Real Life. Could go in either I suppose, even Great Debates if it was still open.

They make them here in the US in all shapes and sizes for these idiots, the only things that I tried were the Mozzarella sticks because I was really hungry while I was biking my way to the city. They were alright, but I dunno, I still prefer the normal kind.

I know! I just found this:
QUOTE
Cheestrings are 100% real cheese and nothing else. Each Cheestring contains 210ml (1/3 pint) of milk and is a naturally good source of calcium. Cheestrings are even approved by the Dental Health Foundation as eating Cheestrings as a snack helps strengthen teeth. You can look in my play section to read more about your teeth and the importance of calcium.
...
I suppose you'll be wondering why Cheestrings are stringy. Then you might also wonder why Emmental has got holes in it? Why is hard cheese hard and soft cheese soft? Why is stilton blue? And why does Mozzarella get all stringy when it melts? It's the way they're naturally made. Like me. Cheestrings are just a cheese that gets stretched from head to toe before It's packed, so that when they arrive with you, they're stringy. Just like Emmental, Stilton and Mozzarella are all real cheeses, Cheestrings are too.
So, to put it quite simply, I'm 100% real cheese and nothing else! And by the way, vegetarians can eat me too!
