I just bought a new Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 keyboard (the base model) and it is fabulous. I have Macbook and I use this external USB Keyboard with a mouse to work and type my reports and papers. It is absolutely fantastic.... in Windows..

In Leopard, it is not as fun to use.. The "hot keys" so they claimed are not really functioning except the volume and the pause play. I can't configure the keys to launch certain apps (calc, Mail, Spotlight eg.) Is there ANYWAY i can configure these buttons? It would really be nice although not necessary as the macbook keyboard is fine too... (macbook keyboard for OS X and microsoft keyboard for Vista)

Ok, not trying to be rude, but its microsoft...doesn't that say it right there? No? ok 9/10 microsoft doesn't support OSX, the keyboard MAY work in osx but theres no installable drivers like for windows to configrue the keys. I'v also seen the macbook having problems with anything external, mouse, keyboard, HDD, etc etc, but i also dont know what generation of macbook that was either. You can probably find a keyboard made for mac with hotkeys but its either hard to find or out of production. But i could be wrong about the hole thing.

@ MacPub: Yea.. Kinda realized that too ... but I work in both the windows and osx environment so I want keyboard that works great for both. (cause I do a lot of typing and the macbook keyboard can only be comfortable for so long). The keyboard I got was at a pretty good deal actually..

Wow, I can't thank you enough veggie.. its great using my "Microsoft" keyboard to its fullest potential I will even go further to say I really like my new keyboard and think Microsoft did a good job with this one.. I still wonder why Microsoft didn't have that app in a CD or something to come with the keyboard.. oh well..

They may support osx with their keyboards, but that make you work for it.
