I would like to know exactly what hardware is in the new MiniMac, MacbOok Pro and iMac? ie exactly what ethernet chip/sound chip is being used.. this way people can build a machine as close to spec as possible to keep incompatibilities to a minimum if possible.
Does anyone know exactly which mobo is used? I hear its the i945 chipset at least.

all of them built around intel Napa platform based on i945PM/GM chipset (iMac/MacBook - i945PM; mini - i945GM)

Of course they are built around the 945G, its common knowledge already and I stated that I knew that. What I want to know are more specific details ie is it closer to the 945GCZL, 945GTPLR, 945GNTL? Theres several different 945G boards, and i'd like to know which is the closest. Ie does it use the SigmaTel STAC9220 sound chip? Which ethernet controller?
Thanks

Of course its Intel High Def Audio, thats what comes in all of them. But is it ALC880? Sigmatel?

Bump.
Anyone care to complete this? Ethernet, Firewire, Bluetooth, Trackpad, basically all hardware devices (specific Vendor and Device ID's appreciated)?
I think this is a very valid question, good for anyone planning on making a worthy investement in a laptop/PC that can also boot FUTURE OSX versions if its equivalent to the original specs.
If this is completed, maybe we can sticky this post?

Good idea. I think that in so far as possible it would be cool to build a tatally mac-like clone on the shelf...
