Hi, I have been on working on getting my hp dv6519 laptop working with a new network card. I have found out the hard way that HP has crippled my upgrade options when i install the new card i get 104-unsupported wireless network device on boot up. I have followed instructions from http://www.rechner.org/b1800_bios.html and after two solid days of working on it . I have almost given up. I cant seem to find the reference for the hardware id when i open the rom file. I have attached the hardware id's for both cards and the bios file. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out. [/size]
ORIGINAL CARD IS THE INTEL 4965AGN ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4229&SUBSYS_11008086&REV_61\4&20B8425E&0&00E0
REPLACED WITH:
BROADCOM ID: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4312&SUBSYS_00071028&REV_01
Thanks in advance

If your system uses the newest BIOS version F.58A, you can download the patched F.58A bios from my topic... this will allow you to use ANY wireless card http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=120190
