I have a freshly installed OSX 10.5 from leo4allv.3

My ethernet card Broadcom 5788 is not nativelz supported so i had to make some changes.

Here I followed the guides in the forum for bcm57xx by moving a hexedited (for my card) AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext to /System/Library/Extensions/

then

sudo -s
22/ cd /
23/ cd /System/Library/Extensions/
24/ ln -s IONetworkingFamily.kext com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily.kext

25/ rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache
26/ rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext
27/ chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions
28/ kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions

now with a reboot i get still waiting for root device.

it will boot in safe mode -v -x

and the ethernet card does work in safe mode. but why will it not boot normally.

edit stop researching and writing your answers - reinstalled - redone - re-fixed (have no idea what I did wrong so sorry I cannot write my experience in the forum for others)
