I tried this to fix it, thought it did, but it didn't.

CODE
sudo chmod 777 /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

When looking at the file stuff, it says Read + Write, but then it tells me I STILL can't write to the file.

Did you boot in Single User mode (-s) ?
TheElementWithin
Nope. :-\

Does this declare me as retarted?
What do I do?
docoma
Use
sudo -s nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

Works for me
