Hello members
Finally I got a MBP and I wonder if there are any other brand modems that I could use instead of the Mac version?
The idea is that I like also to use XP ON A Vm and the modem should be compatible with both.

Thanks

if XP is in a VM it shouldn't worry about what device you're using to connect to the net (as long as you have a connection it should be able to share it, right?).

And secondly, don't you get modem drivers for boot camping on your Leopard install disc?

So the Mac fax does connect through the broadband connection? And when I use XP on VM, would it also use the shared connection to send a fax without a modem(except the dsl modem).
Do I get it right? wacko.gif

No, you need a dial-up modem to send fax from xp and mac; the apple modem must work with boot camp and vm or you can buy an external modem compatible with mac and xp. tongue.gif
