Description:
Qantm London is looking for a motivated lecturer who has previous extensive Macintosh developer experience in the programming of native iPhone applications. Previously completed projects should have been consumer facing applications, where attention to detail and UI experience were paramount.

Responsibilities:
- Lecturer for the iPhone developer modules
- Work with a high-level of organization and forward thinking
- Communicate with industry designers and back-end technology partners to ensure lessons have an industry focus

Required Knowledge/Experience:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with iPhone development
- Macintosh product development experience (2-5 years)
- Extensive experience programming in Cocoa/Objective C (2+ years)
- Familiarity with the iPhone's user interface and technical features/limitation
- Ability to keep to strict deadlines a must

Desirable Knowledge/Experience:
- HTML/CSS/Javascript experience
- Teaching / Lecturing

Just to sum it up, this is a lecturer position, not a developer position.

I've been giving IT training in the past (and that was 'only' functional ERP training to end users). I can confirm that it can be extremely draining and stressful. Not only but especially when you have a clause in your contract that stipulates a reduction or even total refusal of salary for courses where participants were dissatisfied and demand a refund. I've seen situations where the lecturer was not even at fault, eg. system or network crash, poor test data, slow system etc. Then you sometimes have those clients that send out their 'Mr Know-it-all' who will make attempts to take you apart in front of everybody...

Anyway, this is a job that should be paid more than a pure developer's job where you sit comfortably in your corner with a nice cuppa and a bag of crisps and do what you do best and actually like doing.
