Hey Everyone,
Brought my Powermac G5 case today, complete with all fans and [almost] all of the cables. There was just one cable missing and it happened to be one of the more important ones. The cable missing is the cable that connects the front panel (power button, headphone jack, usb, firewire...) to the motherboard. Now, I know Apple Palace are selling them for $23 something bucks. I live in Australia and delivery for this one cable will probably be more expensive than the cable itself! So, I was wondering if I could create my own cable. If I can, any help would be appreciated, or, if anyone knows where to get this cable (or if anyone has one who happens to live...) in Australia, please reply!

Thanks in Advance,

That front panel pinout is for a Mac Pro case. I'm using a G5 case and there seems to be quite a bit of difference between the two at the front. Also, I just looked at the pinout for the mac pro and it states that you have to route a few cables from the front panel to the motherboard's power plug. If this is being done, how do you get the power connected up to the motherboard from the PSU?

Sorry, I did not get it was for the G5 front panel. It is easy to find on the site with some research, cause has been given many times in different topicss by nervouschimp, amandtheboy, Tribesman and others.
Could you explain how you manage ? Always interesting to share your experience, can help others... smile.gif
