hi,
Is there any way to convert a 23.976 fps mkv movie in a 25 fps using final cut or other tools?

Cinema Footage is usually 24 fps. When they put the footage to DVD, they usually increase the speed of the movie by 1/25, so that it results in 25 frames per second (of course, this shortens the length of the movie). The additionally adapt the audio pitch, so the actors don't have a higher voice.
I however don't know a tool to do this, but FCP is probably able to to it.
BTW. Fpr conversion of 24fps footage to NTSC (30 fps) a process called 2:3 pull-down (or similar) is used. It is a little more complicated and uses interlaced pictures.
