WOW! The new Finder video feature came really close to one of the features I'm building into my Linux OS project. Apple is doing a great job smile.gif
Numberzz
That's a cool new feature. I don't know how useful it is, but it's cool. tongue.gif

Yes, the Video Icon Preview is quite useless. Do you see yourself watching a movie in full 128x128? It's actually less than that because no movies are that size anymore.
ipoco
Watching a movie that small would hurt my eyes a little but as a small preview it would suffice.

its probably meant for video editors, they have thousands of clips ,instead of opening them just play them from there. Its quite useful in many things. but thats just a small feature. so cant wait for more builds later on.
ipoco
Would have to agree with amantheboy but why not just name things effectively so you don't have to look?

It's possible that it's actually a fake in the video. Usually, a build number takes the place of the version number until Gold Master. But they could have simply edited the version themselves to simply reflect 10.6.
The iMan
my dev copy said 10.6 unless you clicked on it in the about this mac then it will say build number
khaled_acmilan
Yes,iMan you are right this is surely snow leopard guys there is a new features you see on it and you can't get it on leopard, so i think this is snow leopard with no doubt.
Mack Goodstein
dont install it over leopard, finder freezes while renaming files TO buggy.

but yes, it ses 10.6 and then Build 10A96 wen i click it.
khaled_acmilan
Thank you Mack to confirm it. smile.gif
