I successfully installed Mac OSx86 (Kalyway 10.5.1). Everything works near perfect except for the wireless card. I have a very old Compaq Presario V1000 Notebook. I was amazed on how it the screen even worked with the Graphics I had in this laptop (Intel 855GM biggrin.gif)

I'm having wireless problems. I tried to install the 2200 from iwidarwin but it doesnt work. I then tried to install 2100, which unfortunately only supported 10.4 and thus resulting in the crash which forced me to install the OS again.

One of my friends asked me to get a 2200 card and replace it with my current card. And also, I read somewhere that.. OSx86 can't access the secured wireless locations. Is that true? Or can I get a 2200 and access a secured wireless location like my home network?

THanks smile.gif

If you're going to put a card in it put a broadcom card, anything bcm4306 or bcm4311 based will be more than what you need and will probably be cheaper to acquire than your 2200.

I have an Apple Airport Base using WPA2 and I can confirm that the bcm4306 and bcm4318 (cards I have on hand work without any problems).

I also need to note that the cards I do have on hand are not the generic cards you will find on ebay, the cards I have do not require any modification to any apple software or drivers to be recognized as real Airport Extreme cards or work as such and they do not suffer issues with connections to secure networks, an advantage to buying a card from me instead of buying from ebay.
