Hey all.
I'm building my own gaming mac, and I'm searching for a graphics card at the moment. I've looked mainly at the NVidia 8800 and 9800 series and they look pretty good and are in my price range ($230 - $330 AUD from staticice.com.au). I'm planning to get an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 because it looks amazing for only $190 AUD (correct me if I'm wrong), so I'm just wondering what graphics card would be good for me to get? I'll choose the motherboard depending on what graphics card I get. I have tried to look through the ATI Radeon cards but I get completely lost in the ATI site and can't find a clear layout of their card's specs. So if you guys could direct me to any graphic cards that match up in performance and price with the NVidia ones, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

The 9800GTX next week goes down to $199USD(Don't know what that is in AUD). If there was support for the HD4850, I'd go for that though, but there isn't.

mmmm, if this was a PC Id say to have a look at the new ati cards coming out ie the 4870 and 4850 cards, otherwise Id probably go for a 8800GT or a 9800 if they work with Leopard.

Tte 8800's have drivers for Leopard but I haven't been able to find a proper driver for the 9800's yet.. I have heard the 8800 drivers work for the 9800's though

There's a few threads in the Graphics Cards section regarding 9800GTX support, they work 100% with slightly modified 8800GT drivers uploaded by a forum member. Check Here

EIther 9800GTX or the HD4870 (don't think its supported). But in all seriousness, use windows for gaming happy.gif only real purpose for it.
