Hey guys iGot a 16 gig iPhone which has a defective contact at the silent switch.
Now I thought about sending it to Apple, now I got a questions.

Does they care, that I ain't got a contract with an iPhone carrier, I got mine from the US but I'm living in Germany and got it Activated and JailBroken...

So am I able to use their support just like with an iPod ?

Thank you very much

Patrick

It well be hard to get an In-Store replacement as there are no iPhones right now.
Just restore it and say you could never activate it, or ask someone for their AT&T number (I don't
know how that works, but you may get something...) and take it to the Apple Store.

Which is the problem with the switch?

I'm sure they'll have backups for in-store replacements.

As for your in-store attempt, you're pretty much screwed. They will ask you for your AT&T/T-Mobile number.
