Hi. I have an external 250GB LaCie drive and need to install Windows XP on it, so I can later boot from it on another computer.
Is there any way to do that without having to boot from CD? (standard way)
Can I configure my external drive on VMware so it installs windows on it?

Yes it is possible but it is tricky because you need to add the drive manually, also the installation coul end not usable in Native mode because lack of some drivers.
