How big can the apple tv hard drive go to? I have a modded Xbox with a 500gb (all movies and tv shows), i want to upgrade to an apple tv but need a way larger hd thank 160gb, can an upgrade to 500gb work?

Internally, it's a regular 2.5" HDD, like those in notebooks. I've seen up to 320gb drives, but I think there might be 500gb by now. Here's a guide to replace it. (basically, open it up, copy old drive's contents to new drive, and replace old drive with new).

But even handier, here is a guide to a hack that allows you to use the USB port on the appletv to connect an external hard drive. This is way cheaper for large size capacities

whats the highest you have seen? also will a sata to ide adapter work?
