Ok, so let me preface this by saying that I have the opportunity to buy an early model iPhone from a friend of mine for cheaper when the 3G ones come out.

Now for the other part. I want to get the iPhone but i've been waiting to see what the 3g has, like larger capacity or newer features, or something that would be worth getting over his iPhone. I have over 25GBs of iTunes media, so the 8GB on the phone i'd have the opportunity of getting.

I currently am on the BlackBerry Plan on T-Mo in Northern CA, so I don't plan on switching to AT&T, so I need to know the routes that I can use to unlock and jailbrake my iPhone. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Unlocking wouldn't be a problem, but you'll need to check what kind of service you could get anyway.


But really you'll just have to wait till the 9th to see if they have bigger capacities.

Iphone and AT&T are together for a reason. Apple chose the "platform" if you will for the connection between the Iphone and AT&T, so I doubt you'll get some services that comes standard on AT&Ts network. As crappy as the network is, don't have much of a choice, but yeah you can wait to see if there is something new coming with the Iphone. I'm happy with mine though.

If you unlock it, it will work perfect on tmo with the bb plan. I have one set up like that, the other one is on att.

Plus the 3G iPhone will have a different Comm board on it and wont be unlock-able on day 1 anyways.
