Hi I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 with PNY 8600GT 256mb video card DDR3....eveything works fine. The only problem is that when I change resolution it takes forever. If I don't do anything it stays at a turquoise screen that normally comes up inbetween when resoluation is about to be changed. I have to keep pressing the up down key for minutes before I get back seeing the desktop screen again. Any idea what can be causing this and what I can do to fix it. I tried using NVinstalled again also to try to fix the problem, but it did not change anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any help please. Or if you can only tell me if you are or are not having this problem? that will help also. just wondering if I am only one and did something wrong or is this pretty standard where changing resolution lags.

Do you need to constantly change resoultion?
Just pick a resolution and stick with it.
I have an 8600GT that works fine.
Have you guys injected your device ID into the graphics kexts like GeForce.kext, NVDANV50.kext, NVDAResman.kext, & NVIinject.kext?
I also installed using the kalyway 10.5.2 installer cd.

I don't change resolutions...but its just nice having everything work well. So just wondering if its standard with 8600gt to get stuck on the blue/tuqiouse screen when changing resolutions or just a problem in the way I installed things.

try efi-string method for matching the graficcard,
edit proper vendor and id in the corresponding kexts ( remove &offff endings and endless listings of other cards),
delete injectors ( nvinject, natit, etc.)
