I tried to get my Apogee Duet running on Kalyway and Vanilla installs. It installs fine, but whenever i press play in Logic audio (8.0, 8.01 or 8.02) i get the following message each 3.2.2.155 seconds:

Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI.

Sample Rate 46849 recognized.
Check conflict between Logic Pro and external device.

I get this message on empty midi, audio or instrument tracks. Sample rate is set to 44.1 Khz in the project and in OSX audio settings. Any ideas?

Did some more testing and it's not related to the Duet or firewire. I tried with onboard audio and i get the same error messages. I think it has something to do with FSB speed. Any insights would be most welcome!

try to run only one soundcard. deactivate onboard sound in bios.that helps sometimes

Turned out i have to use a diffferent kernel. Logic is working fine now )

Went from stock kernel to ToH 9.2.0 speedstep

Is this kernel available on Kalyway 10.5.2???

I had the same problem. The issue had to do with the fsb. OS X does not like to be overclocked. I had someone from the chameleon chat room to hard code a fsb of 266.
