As you can see, there are 2 different editions available.

What is the difference?

SuperGamer-VL2 BASE is more oriented towards older (legacy) NVIDIA and ATI cards.

SuperGamer-VL2 MID-LAPTOP is more oriented towards newer cards (and laptops, of course)

Thanks, downloading the 2 Live DVD's and will try them over the weekend.

I have downloaded SuperGamer-VL2 MID-LAPTOP but I have only quickly booted it.
It has a stunning beautiful wallpaper that I hope to make available for download here, later.

As a long-time fan of vectorlinux, I'm pleased to see that it's being adopted for other projects, although as a (almost) non-gamer it will be of little relevance to me.

My main use for vector has been older laptops, whose useful life can be greatly extended by a nice, clean, lightweight linux distro.

Unfortunately I have always had a problem with Vector, since it exists, and I still have it with this latest derivative: it fails to install LILO to the root partition.
