I have a new OSx86 Tools app:
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=104754Was wondering if anyone could make a standard OS X sized icon for this app? I'm not very good at editing graphics, so if someone could make something creative it would be great

What format do you want the icon in?

May 18 2008, 05:16 PM
I guess 512x512 .png...Right?
~pcwiz
May 18 2008, 05:33 PM

pcwiz, give us a concept to use to make an icon for your application...id like to help you with the icon.

May 18 2008, 06:31 PM
The concept is probably OSx86 related obviously, for my OSx86 Tools Utility. Maybe an Adobe CS3 style icon? That would be cool. Whatever you guys make is fine with me

Thanks for all the help offers, appreciate it a lot

~pcwiz
May 19 2008, 02:08 AM
No problem, there's no rush, take your time

I still have quite a bit to add to the utility before final, after all the suggestions I've read.

I made one

How to install (just do it your your computer, and distribute):Right-CLick get info on the icon, select the little, icon at the top and copy it. Do the same for the app, but instead of copying, paste.
I tried making an ICNS file, but Icon Composer Kept Quitting unexpectedly on me whenever I tried to save....
Here is my redistributed copy with my icon of your latest beta.

PCWiz, ask for an icon done at macthemes. Many great artists, some of which will do it for free
~pcwiz
May 21 2008, 02:30 AM
Sure, sounds cool...but what will they think of "OSx86 Tools"?

Thank you Kiko for your very useful contribution

If you can do better, why not show it rather than criticize the work of others who are volunteering to help

I dont like the CS3 style, too simple, and says nothing.
Id like Diabolik icon, but i think it needs some tweaks.
djet
May 22 2008, 03:42 AM
Yeah I like Diabolik's but maybe less text?
Maybe instead of the TOOLS, just replace it with x86T
Idk, but it looks a little crowded to me.

May 22 2008, 08:21 PM
I agree with djet. Less text, different font
