Hi, new to osx - currently running 10.5.4 vanilla kernel. I installed speedstep.app as supplied above into my apps dir, after a reboot I get a kernel panic. if I boot into the speedstep kernel everything works fine. Is there anyway for me to fix the vanilla kernel (I tried uninstalling speedstep.app whilst in the working kernel, but no luck).

Thanks for the link - I managed to get vanilla kernel running again by deleting the acpicputhrottle.kext, but I'll have a read through that thread, thanks.
